Two teams. Two divisions. One ambitious programme.

At Leeds Jr Knights, our Under 14s programme is designed to give players the challenge, competition and support they need to take the next step in their hockey journey.

We currently ice two U14 teams, competing across:

🔵 U14 Division 1 North
⚪ U14 Division 2 North

Our current U14 age group is made up of players born in 2013 and 2014.

🏆 Four-time National Champions

At U14 Division 1 level, Leeds Jr Knights have established themselves as a force in junior hockey.

Our U14 Division 1 team are 2026 National Champions - for the fourth consecutive time.

Four championships in a row is an incredible achievement and reflects the commitment of our players, coaches and families, as well as the strength of the development programme running throughout the club.

But success isn't just about trophies. It's about creating an environment where players are challenged to improve, compete and perform at their highest level.

⚡ Developing the next generation

U14 is an important stage in a player's development. The game becomes faster, more physical and increasingly tactical, demanding greater awareness, decision-making and consistency from every player.

Our two-team structure gives players the opportunity to compete at an appropriate level while continuing to develop their individual skills and understanding of the game.

Players within the U12 age bracket may also be considered for U14 hockey, depending on their overall capability. Any playing-up decision is made carefully by our coaching staff, with development and safety at the heart of the decision.

U14 hockey is full contact.

As the physical demands of the game increase, player safety becomes an even more important consideration. Our coaching staff work to ensure players understand the physical side of the game and develop the skills, awareness and discipline required to play safely and effectively.

For us, player safety always comes first.

Physical development isn't simply about being bigger or stronger. Players need to understand positioning, body contact, awareness and how to protect themselves and others on the ice.
