The Leeds Junior Knights Ice Hockey Club was founded in July 2021 based at Planet Ice Leeds - right next door to the Leeds United football ground.

Our mission is to provide access to ice hockey for boys and girls from Leeds and the surrounding area in a fun and competitive environment. We aim to develop quality people who will achieve their potential and enjoy playing hockey at their highest level.

We currently have more than 160 members, ages 5-19 from the local community and the wider area. Our 10 teams are registered to compete in the Ice Hockey UK junior leagues from U10 up to U19. We are proud to have supported more than 250 young people in the sport during our short history, including many who have represented at England and Great Britain level, and who have progressed to play senior hockey in the men’s and women’s game.

All of our teams are co-ed (mixed gender) except the U16 Girls team (female players aged 10-16).

We are a registered charity and everyone involved in the running of our club - including coaches, managers and committee members - works on an entirely voluntary basis.

Leeds Jr Knights is registered with the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), reg. no. 1200015
